To answer your question, yes. I just tapped into the first set and cut the wires so there was not a sag in the wires. I did solder and shrink wrap the wires... No issues.

Second set is up towards the front of the bed, and you will have to drill your own mounting holes... Drill holes, measure the wires and cut, splice and shrink wrap...

I have 2 sets and probably the #1 thing my buddies complement about the features on the new trucks. Haven't had any issues, even with getting the Linex done.

They're not "bulbs" per se, they are LEDs - meaning that they don't pug in like a normal bulb. And after adding two more as in the picture above (OEM kit comes with two, added two more from second set) it is plenty bright enough. I have a tonneau cover and Bedrug and I get complements all the time about how bright and nice it is...

Having said that, there are those members who have used other kits with longer LED strips, whose installation is brighter. Thing is, once you get the harness, you can use whatever LED you want. I like the OEM lights myself.

I agree 100% it's the look I want.

Has any changed out the bulbs in factory bed lights? If so are they brighter? Thanks

I had a set added from the factory and then the 2nd set added by the dealership when I picked up the truck and have been wondering the same thing but I didn't mess with the housing to see how to take it apart and haven't found anyone who has messed with changing the LED in the factory bed light housing. But I did change out the cargo bulbs to really bright LEDs and it lights up anything around the truck within like 20'. Bought the JDM ASTAR LEDs from Amazon, was 1/2 the price of VLEDs

I also changed the bulbs to LED in the cargo lamp. They are much brighter, that's why I was wondering if any bulbs to change out in the bed rail lamps. However with the new bulbs in the cargo lamp, it lights up the bed much better.
