Engine/transmission reflash

Over the last month or so the mileage has dropped significantly and the transmission has started to shift with a shudder (intermittent). Been to the dealer but.....

Has there been any updates to the engine or transmission software that could be done as a "reflash"?

Don't know about an update but read that disconnecting uour battery for 15 minutes will "reset" the transmission and force it to re learn your driving style - didn't know this, let us know if you try it

The shift issue is pretty prevalent on these trucks. The mileage dropping recently is probably just winter blend gas. That is pretty common this time of year. My wife's Traverse has dropped as well.

Even though I've ordered a replacement 2016 Denali, if that one exhibits the same issues (buffeting, vibration, booming and air pressure) I will not take it and drive my current '16 Denali. So I would like to try to get things resolved on this one in case the new one doesn't work out.

 

Battery unhooked - no change for the time being. I will see how it does after 200 miles.
