Where do you go to find out if you have the latest software loaded? Also would you have to bring it into the dealership for updating? And lastly, i know the 2016 models have Apple CarPlay...will this be for all Intellilink enabled trucks?

There is a way to find out the version you have within the settings. But it won't do any good because there are many versions depending upon the hardware part number and version. It is not like an iPhone where they are constantly updating the software with new features. The dealer can check and update it, however they generally only update to fix a specific issue.

 

And no, CarPlay is not backward compatible. GM is not providing feature upgrades to 2014/2015 units. Different hardware and software from GM. There are aftermarket providers that can add features if a price...
