Throttle delay and trans

Hey guys new here and new to the 2012 platforms I came from driving a 93 4x4 suburban that has 350k miles on it.

Anyway my 2012 Sierra is a ccsb 4x4 5.3l my concerns right now are that when I am coming to a stop light and going 20 mph or below and go to get back on the throttle it has a throttle delay I know that can be changed with tuning but along with the delay it seems that it takes a few seconds for the trans to know it needs to be in gear and when it does it. Seems that it slams In gear almost throws you in the back seat. My ? Is why what is causing this and can it be fixed with tuning. I have also noticed this same thing going around right hand turns or going around roundabouts sometimes the going back into gear can be aggressive sometimes it is not . Like I said earlier I am new to this platform so all help is much appreciated

Thanks

That throttle delay is normal. The truc kis programmed that way and the torque management doesn't help either. Not sure about the transmission but the 6-speed is busy, always shifting and not always smooth. GM has them tuned to get to the highest gear possible as fast as possible for best fuel mileage. That can all be fixed through custom tuning by Black Bear Performance.

The things you are describing will be very noticable to you since you are new to the 6 speed transmission. It's something you either have to get used to, or get the truck tuned to your liking.
