2016 Sierra whining question help please

My 16 Denali with the 6.2 seems to be whining or almost engine noise if I can best describe it. It only happens when car is under load. Possibly from rear end or trans? This could be a 8 speed issue ?seems as if I hear it more through 3rd and 4th gear.

My new '15 has a whine in the rear end that started with only 28 miles on the odometer. 680 miles later the whine has gotten worse. I'll be bringing it in to have the backlash checked. I think it's too tight and will probably need a new ring & pinion installed.

Yes, yes, no, no, take it in its under warranty? Not sure if this is a question or statement with the rogue question mark. Could be any number of things no one here could diagnose over a computer without driving it.
