WOW...... I know its been a few days but the truck is an absolute monster now..... AFE cold air, 4" flow pro with efi live tuner on the sport/economy tune... runs great! worth every penny. Now I need to find out about a lift pump. Its not required I don't believe but im thinking about adding it. not sure if I want to pay a shop for the install or do it myself. Thanks for all the help on here. #happycustomer!

Absolutely do the lift pump. The shop that did my delete wont even do the work unless you get a pump. its too cheap to do to risk damaging the injectors or injector pump

ride big pay big. It's better then blowing something up that's preventable. $1200 is half a set of injectors just parts. Also might want to get another quote i checked my invoice $589 for the Fass pump, unfortunately labor isn't broken down but was $404 total...

Running the tune he is the stock fueling system can easily handle the demands, what he is gaining is water/dirt filtering.

You cannot say that a economy tune justifys a Fass system, you are doing it for the filtering not the added fuel pressure.

I WOULD have one even on a stock pump, the flush mount frame kits are nice and easy install.

is it an install I could do myself with no problem??? worried about keeping the pump primed.

The stock pump is self priming, you simply turn the key on and you will hear the pump turn on and prime the system, no stress at all.

Install is pretty easy, just depends on if you feeling like doing it or paying someone else to do it.

Sure

I am sure there are write ups on the install on the Duramax forums, might see if there is a video or two and a write up, sure makes it nice to have all the needed tools laid out and know how to do it before hand.

You guys are really scratching me where I itch.

I'm seriously considering, just a matter of when.

I went back and forth numerous times on whether or not I should do it.... I wish I did it before I brought the truck home from the dealership now.

I have a wedding/honeymoon to pay for in two months, I'm just shocked she let me buy before the wedding lol. If I play my cards right maybe by this time next year. I wanted to get some drive time on it in stock form anyways
