Rough idle when colder than 20 degrees

I have a 2002 Gmc Sierra 2500HD with a 6.0 automatic transmission.

As stated in the title my truck with idle rough for around 30 seconds when colder than 20 degrees. It has died a few times, most times not. Then it's fine the rest of the day even its been off for hours.

From what I've read it could be intake gaskets or mass air flow sensor. But I'm not convinced it's them things because if I plug the truck in it starts and idles fine.

Any other ideas out there?
