BrokenTail light tabs - thoughts

Hey guys - removed my tail lights to install the AMP Bed Extender HD. Pulled them out as I was supposed to but when they came out, it looks like one of the tabs on two of the black round mushrooms broke. Just to be clear - the actually tab for the tail light itself did not break - it's a tab on the round snap on retainers.

My question is - big deal or not? I'll try and upload a couple of pics but wanted to know if I need to order the new round tabs just to make sure they fit in nice and tightly. Thanks!

Pics would be great when you can.

I have some led tail for sale for a Sierra just in case :)

You can see how one of the tabs is broken off. There are two of them (out of the four) that are like that. I am leaning to just ordering some more so that way I don't have to worry about any rattles, etc. I am not worried about whether or not they will stay in place, just don't want any extraneous noises etc. To sat I am retentive would be a complete understatement... :)

Same happened to me when doing the same thing on a friend's truck except only one broke one tab. It seemed to hold fine with just the one tab but I spent the 7.00 or so on a new one. Part number is 22876572, local dealer had them in stock.

Thanks KP. Just found them on GmPartsDirect but since I am "want it now" kind of guy - think I'll do what you did and see if the local dealer has it in stock. Thanks again!

Ok, so apparently these retainers are unobtanium...

I ordered a couple off of eBay but would have liked to get the. Quicker...and cheaper...

Quick question on reinstall. When I install the tail lights are the retainers in the forward position like in the third picture above? Thanks.
