Installed Gibson Exhaust. Leaking?! Wowwww

My MBRP wasn't much different than that. It did seal up fine... but looked just like that. I installed mine in pieces, starting from the cat back. With no weight on it it clamped up perfectly. Is your Gibson exhaust 1 piece like the GM exhaust or is it multiple pieces?

It's in 3 diff pieces. I have done this a few diff times and it's still leaking. I mean installing thesr things isn't rocket science. Its leaking no matter what I do.

Agree with this notion, except for the women part.

Had my GM Borla welded despite solid clamping and piping setup. Ensures no leaks, squeaks, or movment despite any OR duty.

Had the Banks Monster Exhaust on my last truck welded. It just never seemed that tight. After it was done, I confirmed it was leaking a bit...even sounded a bit different. Not sure if I'm going to have the GM Borla on this truck welded, but it is a good idea. Corsa says welding voids their warranty (had one on my '14 before I changed to the GM Borla), so I didn't think about it and fitment is good.

Make sure its does not have a burr or a some of the pipe seam weld keeping it from sealing. And even with out a leak i would of used exhaust paste just for good measure while i was installing.

I am not too familiar with exhaust paste. I went to napa today and they had a exhaust paste and exhaust "cement". The guy said the paste wouldn't last long. I have never used either so not really sure what to do.

I called yesterday and had to leave a message with a guy who deals with this stuff. Never got a call back. Gonna try again today.

Got an email back from Gibson. Guy said its "normal for this to leak". I find that to be BS. Called him he said to go buy exhaust paste and seal it up. Wowwwww. What a joke. Gonna snap. Called again to speak with someone else just waiting for a call back.

Reminds me of Harley-Davidson dealers...everything that you think is a problem is "normal".
