Waterless wash scares me

First off, yes I searched this. Let me say, the search function sux.

Got a black '15 Sierra and I'm pretty compulsive about a clean vehicle. Last time I had a black truck, I also had access to a warehouse and a hot power washer. But no more.

I enjoy washing my vehicles, but in between full wash jobs I want to be able to keep my truck looking sharp. I've been hunting around for waterless car wash and I've seen a lot of videos about it. But I just don't see how you wouldn't scratch the hell outa your vehicle with that stuff.

Has anyone used the stuff on a black vehicle or is there some other product you use in between washings?

I have only used waterless wash on my camaro (not a DD). Car is 4 yrs old and has only been machine polished once.

I bought a couple of liters when I saw it for sale.

I dont think I have used it on the body. I mixed up a batch and cleaned the inside of the bed of my truck, as well as the inside of the panels....

You dont use it on dirty vehicles.

I can read you some writing from the bottle if you like.

Not for cleaning vehicles caked with mud or on extremely dirty finishes.

Sorry, but the other tips on the bottle say "Secret Pro Tip" so I guess I shouldnt tell ya.

I'd probably suggest hitting a quarter pressure wash first to knock off the dirt, etc, then using it. Adam's also makes a rinseless wash now, which may be a better option for winter washes.

I have used in the past but not on anything very dirty. They have surfactants in the wash that allows the grime to come off without damaging paint. I think they are best used for maintenance vs. replacing of a normal wash. For example you really wash the truck over the weekend, then hit it with the waterless wash mid week provided you didn't go mudding or anything.
