They make FOB cover without Chevy on back

I'm looking for the skin cover w/o the Chevy symbol on the back, not the actual fob. Amazon reviews say you can just cut a rectangle around the Chevy symbol. I might try that if they don't make a GMC specific one.

Good news, you don't have to cut anything...

He knows it will fit his GMC remote. What he wants is one that does not have the Chevy bow tie on the back. So either plain or with GMC instead of the bow tie. The cutting he was referring to isn't so it would fit but a way GMC owners were cutting the bowtie off the back.

I ended up buying the chevy skin cover and cutting a rectangle around it.

What it looks like shipped with the chevy symbol.

After cutting a rectangle. I did a crappy job cutting it with scissors. My advice is to use an X-acto knife. I cleaned it up afterwords with an X-acto and ruler.

Nice. Just ordered one off Amazon. Should help quiet the key fob bob n knock on the steering column.

Why hang it from the ignition switch? I have a quick disconnect on my keys so the only thing hanging is the key and the connector to the quick connect. If I need to jump out of the truck and leave it running I can still lock it. Ignition key has not left the truck but once or twice in the last couple of years, I never go anywhere that I am worried about it being broken into, and they would need to find the right key among a handful that are in my truck. :jester:
