Another 1500 or 2500hd thread?

Well I got a truck today. Ended up with a 2016 2500hd crew 4x4. LT with the all star package and a trifold soft bed cover. I would have preferred white or silver but ended up with metallic tungsten. This one had a the $2500 bonus tag on it. Either way, nice truck.

I ended up getting a black one which was my LAST choice in color but the deal was right. 22% off MSRP and 35k for my 14

I've put almost 6000 miles on the truck in the 1st 6 weeks. We went to Ontario on a fishing trip. I got 15.7 mpg on the way up there. Mostly driving 65-70 with a slight tail wind. I got about 13 mpg on the way home driving 75-80 into a 30+mph wind.

 

Then we hauled 4 atv's on a 18 ft trailer to Colorado. Door to door, I got 10.5 mpg. I loved the ability to switch to manual mode when descending those big high elevation passes. Transmission temp was usually around 150-160. My 1/2 ton would hit 220-232, on the same passes with the same load.

 

Only issue is with tpms sensor.

After driving 50 or miles, it gives me a warning that my front driver side tire is low. I manually check tire pressure and it is as recommended. As I continue driving the computer does not show any tire pressure for that tire. Just ----
