New guy from Florida and need help already!

First time Chevy owner..2015 Silverado 1500 .. and loving it so far except for a couple of annoying problems. 1. The dash light doesn't come on to full brightness when first started but does so (usually) within the first 10 miles. 2. It seems something within the door (driver's side front) is nicking the tint film. I first noticed 1 small nick but didn't think much of it. Now there are a dozen all in the same general area. The nicks go from upper right to lower left where you can see the film bunched up. The nicks are small. Any ideas on what is causing these problems...answers are most appreciated.

Is the truck parked in a garage or under cover? Maybe the auto lights had the lights on and dash dimmed until you get out in the sun for a bit. Should not take that long but you never know. I have had 2 of these trucks with no tint damage.

Maybe the tint wasn't applied correctly and is catching something below the window line? I have my '16 tinted and no problems. As for the dimming, try adjusting the dimmer dial on the left side of the dash near the light switch.

Florida? Any chance you're using a window shield to block the Sun, which can cause cause the Sun sensor to advance or delay dash lighting. After using it my Nav stays in night mode for a few minutes until the sensor is convinced it's really daylight.
