I called the dealer I bought the truck from and he reached out to service locations in Indiana. He found that the issue is caused by one of 17 sensors. They can't determine which one until they hook it up to the computer system at the dealership, but it needs to be acting up to get the reading. I have been told to get to the dealership after it happens and do not turn off the truck because it resets the computer internally. My wife says the next time it happens, we are getting something different.

Add me to the list as well.  My 17 year old son was driving his 2014 1500 on Friday night from a friends house.  The Service Stabilitrack warning started coming on and all of a sudden it pulled hard left while going about 45 mph.  It scared the crap out of him.  I am not a happy camper.  The warning is still coming on, but I can only recreate the jerky steering wheel while going very slow.  Of course it is out of warranty now as it has about 81K miles on it.

So, has anyone had the problem cured by the dealer and know what it was exactly?

My 2016 Silverado just started doing this yesterday. I went out this morning and it isn't doing it now. My problem was the wheel was torn out of my hands when trying to do a turn while turning around. I also saw a StabilTrac error on the DIC and at one point the BRAKE light came on but only once.

How often did this problem pop up for you?

Thanks...

Verify that ALL grounds are clean and secure.  This happened to my son's 2017 and we located poor ground connections and after diligently cleaning and tightening.  NO more problems.

My 2014 just started doing this.  At least now there's a technical bulletin about it.  Seems like it's a grounding issue.  I've done the one in the dash, but it didn't fix it.  So I'll check the other ones.
