I bought my Irridium Metalic Sierra a couple weeks ago. It has a pinstripe (tape). Besides the long-term maintenance, I'm not sure I can remember the last time I had a pinstripe.

It wasn't on the Monroney sticker, so not sure if it's standard, darker installed, or what.

It's so 80's. Should I leave it?

My 2006 had one. Very glad it's gone. It'll come off easy on your new pickup, might be able to just peel it all off.

My 2014 AT also came with pinstripes from the dealer it was traded from. I took maybe 15 minutes once I got it home to completely remove them. I say let truck sit out in the sun and then remove them. Agree they look 80's to me as well.

Ok, I posted the question three weeks ago. Just peeled the very-nicely-done double pin stripe with a little upturn over the "Z71 4X4" chrome emblem on the front quarter panels. Wife said she liked the pinstripe. Anyway...

This really attractive truck has lots of angular design elements already, it didn't need this additional accent. I feel a little bad because this cost to be done and some skilled craftsman did it right.

When removed, there was already a dirt line in one section. They all would have collected that soon enough. I'm the nerd that occasionally takes a Q-tip to the badges.

One little piece had already been "chipped," a small section missing. Another something that would become worse - and noticeable - over time.

So I'm trying to stretch it back out to stick to my wife's car.,,
