I must say, the 8 speed has really changed the character of the truck, IMO. In stock trim, my new one, I must say, has excellent performance and shifts more crisply than my old 4 speed.

 

That's what I've noticed with my 8 Speed truck. It goes through the gears no problem, especially with the kickdown switch on!

 

I'd even venture to say that it might give my pop's Camaro a run for its money!

I tend to agree. I find the 5.3/8sp is deceptively quick, even in stock set-up. I am having no complaints --- especially considering how quiet and comfortable they are while doing it.

 

I can only imagine what the 6.2l can do. It must be extremely fast.

Nice truck partner! I just plopped a Catch Can on my SLT and and a Airaid Intake Tube only over the weekend! I must say the idle and response has improved and shifting through those gears is a treat! Like the color hope it treats ya well!
