Looks much better! did the 14-15 to 16-18 swap on my Sierra, all LEDS FTW!

Nice, and thank you! Yeah, I was looking at a 15 Sierra and said if I were to buy it, I would do the same thing. You made a wise choice my friend lol.

Super interested in doing the opposite for this, I have a 2017 and prefer the 2014-2015 front end.  Anyone in the pacific northwest and want to trade?

I was able to almost break even for my swap out. I was able to sell all of my old parts for about the same cost is what I bought the new ones for. It took me almost a year to find and buy the new parts for the upgrade at the cost I was willing to pay. When I say new, I mean the 2016 version. Out-of-pocket I think I was $800 and that was for painting my front and rear bumper to match.

In regards to doing the reverse conversion, I believe it would work just the same way but my initial thought and only concern would be how to retrofit a plug-and-play wiring harness to go from the 2016 LED headlights to the downgraded halogen headlights. But that is probably a gen5diy question or a PGamboa.

Great info, thanks! is it only the grille and complete headlight assemblies?  Or do you also need brackets and radiator support, etc...?

Zakk and I have spoken and will likely be swapping front ends.  I will be swapping from a 2015 Silverado LT and I think his is a 2017 with LT headlights, not LTZ and no fogs.  I will be looking for the 16+ bumper with fogs to complete the conversion.

I do have a question for those who have done this conversion. The wiring kit that is available from Gen5DIY I have seen available for this 15 to 16+ LT conversion has a description that states that the parking light function does not function correctly.  Specifically, the headlights stay on, rather than go off.  I would like to make sure all the functions work correctly.  Is there a harness that allows all the factory functions to work correctly?

pgamboa from harnessdr.com is actually working in this particular issue, I have the gen5 harness which works properly but it doesn’t function as factory set up.

I will be getting Phil’s harness as soon as completed and install on my 16 conversion.

I have a 2014 Chevy silverado and converted the front end to the 2016 front end.  My trouble is, how do i connect the headlight to the harness because the light are totally different.  do anyone have a diagram that can help me connect the headlight up correctly to the old existing harness.
