We've sold a couple sets. Better than the Weathertech in general but they have a couple flaws. I'm not quite sure why they did a two piece rear, and they did a bad thing by cutting the mat short by the gas pedal. Weathertech goes way up to the edge of the carpet almost under the dash, not sure why GM couldn't have done the same thing.

Can you take a little more straight on shot of the mat near the gas pedal? I want these mats but am afraid of the salt here in Wisconsin getting past that area.

It's a bit dark as I'm working inside the garage today.

 

As the post above mentioned... It doesn't go up behind the gas pedal. There were some issues 10 years ago with manufacturers and bunched-up floor mats under gas pedals and multimillion-dollar lawsuits which I'm sure had a big play into that decision.

 

I don't like it, you don't like it, pretty much everybody doesn't like it... But the lawyers that sued the manufacturers won't be able to claim that the gas pedal got stuck wide open and John Doe plowed over Sarah Smith's children anymore.

 

About the only thing I can recommend for those harsh winter States would be head over to your local home supply store and get a roll of that sticky carpet plastic and just put some of that on there underneath the mat and work it up on the sides, for the winter at least.

Speaking of mats has anyone figured out a good way to remove those dang driver mat push tabs without jamming your finger. Hate doing that every time but dont wanna use keys or whatnot and scratch it to heck.

Stop by and take a look. Tonno Pro is a nice brand to look at. Not that well known but super quality and low price. We are also Weathertech approved, meaning warranty applies as opposed to purchases on Amazon. Don't like Weathertech? We have Husky or Maxliner. Amp Research, Thule, Warn, Rhino Rack. Will be glad to help.

Beautiful Silverado. Absolutely love the front end on yours! I just picked up the GMC version of these mats because I had a lot of salt build up under and around the factory small rubber mats and didn't want to wait for Weathertechs or Huskys. I kind of figured GMC didn't want that piece of material under the gas pedals so while the freshly scrubbed and shampoo'd carpets are drying I'll have to come up with a workable solution to keep the salt and grime from under the gas pedal which is where 1/4 of the buildup accumulates. The GMC mats really look like they were made by Weathertech.

I learned this the hard way, bought some weather techs and the version i bought uses Velcro instead of the mount holes which some plastic clips attach to, well of course the Velcro has now pulled away from the mat and weather tech basically told me to go pound sand because i bought off amazon as if that should matter at all. Was not asking for new mats just a new piece of Velcro but even that was too much for the customer service rep and told me to contact amazon as if this is any bit their issue as they are now nearly 2 years old.

 

He told me if i go to target and buy a tv and it broke that i would need to go back to target which of course he is wrong and would need to contact the manufacture after a allotted time period had passed. At that point he just clear hung the phone up on me, I will never buy a product from weather tech again, would go out of my way to purchase a china made product over that of weather tech who does not stand behind their product. Was absolutely amazed at how they pretty much told me too bad and go buy a new set, lol i will but certainly not from this company! Was thinking of these mats but will need to make sure weather tech are not the makers as i don't support scumbag manufactures!

Sorry for the VERY delayed reply dude. Had a bunch of family stuff going on, then a major back yard project started in Oct that is FINALLY nearing an end.

My understanding is all GM liners are cut out around the gas pedal. You have to go after market to get true full coverage. I'm looking at Husky fronts and GM rear just because I can get the GM rear liner cheaper, and it'll fit better to my under seat storage tray.

I bought MaxLiners, I found a set that was one piece up front and one in the rear?

 

they cover under the pedal as well as the food rest on the left of the driver, (lol I heard some kid call it a "dead pedal".

Thanks lol. I found GM liners that replace the one with out throttle opening cut out part #84185471, had it confimed with VIN #

Oh the ones I was referring to were the Husky liners that cover the whole floor. I have the GM mats in my 20 Sierra now and think they are garbage compared to the huskys. If it wasn't a lease I would have sold the GM set already. Sorry for the delayed response.

No worries, I got new ones of my choice from dealer which were Husky at no cost they put it through warranty I'm assuming. Thanks for the reply

      Monthly payment is only part of the equation. With today's prices and interest rates, I'd look at the total monthly cost: payment, insurance, registration, fuel, maintenance, and expected repairs. A vehicle that fits comfortably into your budget is usually the better choice than stretching for a higher trim. I've also kept my vehicles longer over the past few years. New cars have gotten expensive enough that driving one for 10+ years, while staying on top of maintenance, often ends up being the most cost-effective approach.

      Thanks newdude!  By the time manual selection is needed, I'm probably too much of a control-freak to depend on the transmission sensing braking to activate automatic downshifting.  I would be anticipating the situation and already be manually downshifting.   This truck replaced a 2004.5 LLY diesel with the Allison 5-speed.  Putting it in T/H made noticeable differences (when the torque converter locked, upshift points, downshift behavior).  On this 2024 gasser with the 10L1000 I haven't been able to detect much, if any, difference.  Ok, I can never tell now when the torque converter locks up.  But I also don't notice differences in shifting.  For downhills, I've probably already manually downshifted by then anyway.  Since it's also more awkward (than the 2004.5) to engage/disengage I don't even bother.  Or maybe it doesn't really matter with just a 3k lb. camper in the bed?   Thanks also for the list of reasons the charging system might select various voltages.  However, what I am seeing doesn't fall into any of those categories.  It very definitely, and very consistently, rises after coasting/braking.  Maybe not immediately, but not very long after coasting/braking.  Very consistently drops voltage when no longer coasting/braking.  It might also be interacting with the camper battery charging (I might disconnect the camper and see if it changes the charging behavior).  I also need to recheck turning on headlights for when I want to force it to charge the camper.   Another JR, in June I converted the camper to LiFePO4.  Since it's not a good idea to try to charge lithiums directly using truck, I installed a Victron Orion XS DC-DC charger (which BTW is AMAZING!!).  Being cheap, I only had to buy that one item (besides the battery, of course) to do the conversion.  The camper OEM 120v battery charger (only 19 years old and works perfectly) and the truck feed the input to the DC-DC charger (not at the same time).  But I didn't want the camper charger feeding back to the truck so I kept the old separator.  I considered replacing the separator with a 30amp diode but that means more work and might add another 1/2 volt drop.  One thing that surprised me was the voltage drop over the long 10awg wire run, so I can only charge smoothly at 8 amps (because the DC-DC charger is completely configurable).  Another reason I don't want an added voltage drop with the diode.  I might also be a little lazy but all this work is being done under the sink with a small cabinet opening.

      apparently CA smog is (or at least was)  checking that the vehicle is using the oem and/or a ca smog approved tune, so I expect you'll fail inspection doing it.

      yes, leaking exhaust will mess up o2 sensor readings, which in turn messes up fuel trims.
