Fluid changes

Hey guys,

Thinking about doing some maintenance on my 2014 Silverado CC SB 5.3 4x4 Z71. I'm changing the fluids on my tractor to all synthetic Amsoil and am thinking of doing the same on my truck, figured I'd place one order. I am in no particular rush, just planning on doing it before the winter.

So how much do I need to order? I am planning on doing the front and rear differentials with SVG, transmission and transfer case with ATL. I can get the capacities from the manual, and assume the differentials are a 100% change, but what about the transfer case and tranny? How much fluid should should I expect to use? I don't mind having some extra around, just don't want to end up with several quarts sitting around long term.

Also, seen some posts indicating some seals are reusable, some are not. Anyone have a definitive guide?

Right, I can get capacities from the website, or my manual, 12.2 quarts for the tranny and 1.6 for the transfer case if I recall. But in reality, how much ATF should I have on hand? I would suspect even dropping the pan, I would not need 14 quarts of ATF..?

amsoil has a pretty good listing. Also, It appears to be cheaper when buying larger volume containers. I used about 11 quarts to do the trans pan drop install the PML trans pan plus drain/fill the transfer case. PML has about 2 quarts extra from factory. Trans pan gasket is reusable if anyone wants to know.
