LT & LTZ Z71s with the trailering package have 3.42 Eaton lockers.

But it's computer regulated and not manual engaged. I've read that it's unpredictable. I assume if you turn off the traction control you probably turn off the locker.

I actually felt the locker "lock up" the other day on the boat ramp (at least I thin I did!). It spun a bit, then you could feel the spinning stop and the truck immediately started up the ramp as both wheels got traction.

I don't think it is computer controlled but mechanical. There is a decent video in link below.

Eaton locker is 100% mechanical centrifugal type lock on the rear wheels (no clutches like a limited slip differential) and accentuates a 4WD on a slippery surface because power is transferred to both rear wheels even if one wheel on the rear axle is slipping. Operates independently of traction control and predictable on adverse road condition.

 

 

Works nice in my hilly development when there is snow/ice on the road.
