Well just wanted to share some info on this lift because when I was researching it couldn't find a ton of info. Honestly the lift is great, directions suck but if your the least bit mechanical inclined it's east to figure out. The ride quality is alot better than what I expected, it's really like your floating with this lift, dampens alot of the imperfections in the road that I felt before installing the lift. I did the SS kit with the adjutable struts set at 8 inches, turned out really good. You wouldn't think 2 inches would make much of a diffrence but my buddy's 6 inch lift is no where near as close, running the same tire and rim set up I'm sitting at 48 in the front and 47 in the rear, where his 6 inch bds lift is 45.25 in the front and 44 in the rear....and it is very noticeable side by side. He'll be swapping lifts before too long lol. Biggest concern I've had is his BDS is a little noisy when turning sitting still and the least little bit of strain on his steering and you hear a faint pop, not terrible but I notice it and on a 50,000.00 truck I don't wanna hear no shit like that. This mcgaughys lift so far is very quiet. No noises what so ever. Very quiet and solid. Only 3 weeks and 2500 miles into having it on my truck but so far I'm glad I spent the extra money and got a quality lift, very satisfied and if I ever trade up trucks this will be the lift on my next one as well. Hope this helps someone as decisive as me make a decision lol. My truck has the adjustable set on the middle notch at 8 inches, has the 6 inch block that came with the kit and the factory 1 inch block in the rear, 22x10 -24 offset xd rims with 35x12.5 cooper stt pro, that burnt orange makes it one of a kind in my opinion. Very fun to drive! That's my 2 cent on this lift post-154773-0-65950200-1469074624_thumb.jpg

truck looks incredible man! Could you by chance post a pic of how far your tires stick out? Im high considering running a very similar set up to yours when my tires wear out.

also that sound your buddy is hearing sounds like what I'm getting from my RCX lift, I brought it to the shop and they said something is getting a bit loose and that it has to be brought back to the installer. My usual mechanic wouldve fixed it but part of the lift had to be removed to reach the bolts he believed needed to be tightened so the installer should cover that as a general "check-up" a few hundred miles after the lift is installed

Did you add a leaf to the rear? Your truck looks great!

I'm Glad you posted this I am picking my truck up tomorrow with the same lift only set at 9 with an add a leaf and a 1.5 inch body lift. I'm guessing mine might be a tad stiffer than yours. I'm surprised that your rear end is 1 inch lower as they advertise completely level at 8 inches and 1 inch difference at 9 inches. Looks amazing though nice truck!

No just the 6 inch block that comes with the kit on top of the factory 1 inch block. Left it out originally, drove it 2 days and put it back in. It was a little over 2 inches lower in the back and that was just too much for me, to me the front set at 8 with both blocks is the best look, if I ever go to 9 I will definitely do the add a leaf, right now the front is exactly 1 inch higher, I like a little stance but without that factory block in there it looked like it had a load all the time lol

Read the post above^....that is what I also was told and I thought that as well but when the install was done I noticed it immediately. Some trucks are diffrent but on mine, 8 inch front and both blocks in the rear = 1 inch lower in the rear and honestly that's the best look to me....man make sure u post pics of yours and I would like to know how yours rides set at 9" too please....when I wear out these 35 1250 I may possibly set mine at 9 and add a leaf with 37's! If my wife doesn't kill me first, the more I look at it I think the way it sits now might have looked a little better with 37's but....jjust spent a chunk on these so I'll get all the good out of these before I move up to a 37

Look great and mcgaughys is good stuff.

Far too clean though now, go drop it in the mud!

Thanks man! I like it and so far I'm really happy with the lift....most people around here have never heard of them and alot of guys are running the rough country stuff here....so they rude in mine and go "damn, you can't even tell it's lifted" from what I've seen bds is a decent lift but alot of the other stuff is noisy for one which bugs the shit out of me and not machined well...even the guys at the shop that installs lifts that installed my tires and rims say it's one of the nicest, sturdiest lifts they've seen so....

This guy does a good Q&A on the diff in lift kits

Watch it you will be glad on your purchase vs. that rough country. Shows you the diffs.

Here u go man....I was looking for the tall skinny look and I think it turned out good with the -24 offset that mcgaughys required but no the lift is on and seeing the distance between the knuckle and inside of rim I think I would have been good with a 0 offset, with the -24 offset I have a good 2 inches between the inside of the rim and the mcgaughys knuckle....

I know it's been a few months since you got this lift, how's it been so far? I've been debating on lifts for a few weeks and think I might go with a McGaughys.

I have over 10,000 miles on it now and no issues what so ever, so far so good....everyone that rides in it can't get over how good it rides being lifted, I'd go with this same lift if I could do it all over again
