finally trading in my 2014 gmc sierra 1500

I will never buy a new gm truck again. Too many issues. Gm had issues in the 2014 trucks and they didn't correct them in the 2015 trucks and now I see there have some of the same issues in the 2016 trucks. Sure seems like they don't give a shit.

 

I have looked at the Ford forums. Way less issues and unhappy owners with Ford.

I never use the forums to decide on my ride, I've checked a few. They all are the same, you can't build that many and not have some unhappy people. Just look in the use car section on new car lots. You'll see year old trade ins of all makes, doesn't matter what lot you look in.

You are one of the few that find a F150 comfortable. I never liked the driving position, or seats. They feel like sitting on upholstered plywood.

Also have to second ford seats being upholstered ply wood

Well I had my new Ford F-150 for almost 2 weeks now and I have to say I can't be more pleased and happy I am no longer a GMC owner this thing's got way more power no hesitation and I'm enjoying driving my truck again

Congrats on the new truck and I am not a fanboy of GM or Ford but the 5.0 (if that is what you got) does not have more power than the 5.3 GM, they are about the same. I drive a Ford with the 5.0 in it everyday and IMO it is a lacking a little in the power department. It is a little slower off the line and in the bottom compared to the 5.3 but ones it gets revved up it has more power than the 5.3 IMO so it about washes out.

355hp gm 5.3l vs 385hp 5.0l from ford. So the Ford does have more power

It may have more power on paper but off the line the 5.0 feels much slower than the GM 5.3. The biggest difference that I feel between the two is that the GM is more of a linear power curve while the Ford has to build up RPM's before the power comes in. Like I said, they both deliver the power in a different way but neither one has a measurable advantage over the other in the real world.

My 5.3 liter is gutless. 5 liter is a million times better
