I live in British Columbia Canada I'm a Hunter and a fisherman I spend half the year in the bush my 2014 GMC Sierra was the worst trip I've ever had off road. So far the Ford it's way better in the Steep mountainous terrain of BC than the GM was. I have five bodies that were all so hard and then we all switched over to ford and they are so happy as am I.

You guys can say what you want if you're not happy driving a truck or any vehicle you get rid of it. I was going to trade mine in on a 2016 GM truck but after having a brand new sierra for a weekend. And then a brand new Silverado the following weekend I decided not to buy 1 and I am so happy I decided not to.

Like I said I've only ever owns GM trucks and only GM vehicles. But after I was treated like crap by GM as well as GM Canada. There's no way I would buy another one

Yeah, i dont get it, why do you continue to come here and talk about how bad your GMC was. At some point, you got to just move on. You remind me of someone who enjoys smelling other peoples bad farts. You want to keep reliving the moment. Do the Ford fourms suck as much as their trucks?

I'm starting to think this dude is not an adult but some high school kid by the way he talks. It is annoying but kind of funny to read his made up posts that only a child could come up with.

this is a 2016 Denali 6.2 8spd fuel mileage and this thing will knock your ford trucks little dic in the dirt. (that should get him going LOL)

Sigh well let me spell it out for you "west person" the average mph reading on the denali dash calculates all idle time speed while sitting still = remote start cooldowns/stop and go traffic and simple idling. Yes that's right this truck gets almost 20mpg in city stop and go traffic and extreme remote start cooldowns. Probably be like 30+mpg out on the road LOL sometimes you have to engage brain before you engage mouth (or keyboard in this case)

There's no way your 6.2L is getting anywhere close to 30 MPG.

Well it will be a while before I get over my new GM Borla Dual exhaust/Hypertech tuner. See this stuff causes mpg problems, with a lot of jack rabbit starts and lots of random acceleration so the exhaust is in the SWEET sound zone........... Once all that is old hat and I start driving normally again I will reset trip B and run a highway fuel mileage test.

I really do not expect 30mpg but I would not be surprised at all to see over 25mpg on the highway..... these trucks are engineering marvels and have a lot of possibilities the 420 hp 6.2 with the 8spd really hits a real sweet spot for power and gearing it just seems to be loping along and not in any kind of strain ever, even with a large trailer hooked up. Makes me smile every time I turn the key......GIT U ONE it is as good as advertised

I've got one, '15 6.2L/8 speed Denali. I've put 18,000 miles on it, best I've seen hand calculated was a hair over 20 MPG on a trip from my home in Raleigh, NC to Ft. Meyers, FL with the cruise set to 80 most of the way there. There is no way you're getting anywhere close to 25 MPG on the highway, unless maybe you're going downhill, with your foot completely off the gas and drafting a tractor trailer.

I agree these trucks do really well in the MPG department for what they are, but 21 MPG is about as much as you can expect on the highway.

They can't be that much worse than the 5.3. On hwy 75 south to Orlando at 72 mph I got 23 mpg. On some secondary roads in Texas at 65 mph I did better. If I was worried about gas milage I bet I could do 24 mpg. All that was with the 342 gear and the V4 turned off.

I paid almost 42k for this truck brand new and it's been the worst vehicle I've ever owned too many issues too many fights with dealerships. I can't believe I wasted this much money on one truck. Since day one after I did my own inspection when I brought it home with bolts missing all over the place it has been a nightmare. The seat belt repair is the final straw.

I decided to go down and look at the F-150s. They drive a hell of a lot better than mine there are a lot more comfortable. And the trade in value they gave me I couldn't refuse. They're bringing in a truck with the options that I wanted. I took multiple different Ford F-150 for test drives and they were all awesome. Truck that I'm bringing in is a 2016 F150 6.5 foot box 5 liter V8 3.73 rear end. Heavy duty payload package and heavy duty towing package.

what bolts were missing, this story I have never heard?

Posted

2 bolts in the passenger side rear spring hanger and 1 was cross threaded in the driver's side rear spring hanger. Multiple bolts holding the front bumper and plastic missing

The 2017 3.5L EcoBoost in the F-150 makes more torque than the GM 6.2L.
