I have resolved my issue that i hqve seen others complain about a lot. A rear popping and squeeking noise. my problem was at low speed and small bumps worse when backing up and turning. Pissed me off for a long time .if I shook the truck side to side it would pop as if the the drive axles had play and made a hell of a racket. All I did was jack up the rear hammered a pry bar between the leaf spring at the front of the leaf near the stock clip and cut a piece of UHMW one eight sheet about 2x3 inches and slid it in between the the existing pad and the upper leaf through the leaf clip,,,,it's like I'm driving a new truck. So happy.

Taken mine into the dealer for this issue, they say they can't get it to repeat the noises that i am talking about.

COMPLETE BULLSHIT! Had it do it to me again today after they kept my truck for 5 days and gave me the response of not being able to make the pop and rattle happen.

Crazy that you can get the problem fixed and top notch GM Mechanics can't.

ONCE THEY GOT YOUR MONEY, GM DOES NOT GIVE A ****!!

I just got my 2015 Sierra back from the dealership last week. Doing the same thing. Popping while backing up, and if you shook it side to side it would also do the same thing. The dealer actually heard my noise with me driving. I was told they had to go through the proper TSB for the fix. One was they greased the leaf springs, and they tightened the u-bolts. Im not real happy about greasing the leaf springs. I figure it will be something i will be back to the dealership every few months to fix. As for the last 3 days, seem that issue is fixed. It just feels like a band-aid though.

Ya I put an add aleaf on mine and dealer said it was my fault, even though the aound was coming from the stock leafs.the uhmw totally works, I think its the the stock slider pads, they used the wrong material. And yes, grease is a bandaid and I also heard that oils and grease cause a chemical reaction with the specific spring steel causing it to loose its springiness, and strength,,,, the non scientific term. Do the uhmw!
