17 inch rims?

Hi all

 

I've searched this forum alot as I'm looking for advise on the biggest tire I can fit on my stock 2015 silverado with 17 inch rims. And it seems to me not too many others on here have the 17 inch rims.

 

I hate how small the tires are and I want to go bigger as soon as possible. But tires need to come before a lift or level.

 

Anyone out there know the biggest 17 in rim tire I can put on a stock truck without rubbing?

Rim size is irrelevant. You can get exact same tire on a 17 18 or 20 one just has more rubber the other more wheel.

 

Should be a ton of threads on size already.

I run 285/70/17 (33") on my truck, but I have a 2" level. In the wheel/tire thread, people have mixed results with running 33" at stock height.

 

So, if you don't mind the chance at rubbing lightly, go 33. If you don't want to risk it, go one size smaller.
