2015/2016 silverado 2500hd 6 inch lift, wheels and tire fitment.

Recommended Posts

Please help! Just traded my 15 half tons in on a 16 duramax, and I am looking to have a 6 inch fabtech lift installed, but unsure of what tires and wheels will fit. Would like to run a 37x12.5x20 with atleast a -12 offset wheel. Is this even possible with the 6 inch lift? Sorry if I missed the lift kit page on the forum, as I'm new to the 2500/3500 portion of this forum. Thanks!

You might get away with it. When I was buying wheels and tires for my truck I bought wheels with plans to lift it in the future instead of buying wheels twice. My guy at the accessory store said I would be pushing it with a 6" lift. My plans were 22x12 -44 offset wheels and 37x13.50x22 tires and he said I may have to step down to a 35" tire. Not sure if the Chevy's have it but I spaced my front bumper out 3/4 of an inch on my GMC and it helped out alot. I am currently running the 22"s with a 33x12.50x22 Atturo trail blade m/t tire with just a leveling kit and some minor trimming. Tires don't touch the front bumper at all except for a little spot on the fender liner but I tied it back. I have a little bit of rubbing at full lock on the cab side of the inner fender but I just bought some Cognito UCA's and fox shocks to hopefully get a little more out of the leveling kit. Going to try and turn it up a few more turns. I know Fabtech is a good lift because I ran it on my 04 Duramax, 8 inches and 27x13.50x20 nitto mud graps on a 20x12 -44 offset. Have you though about running the McGaughy's 7 to 9" adjustable lift? I think that would be you best bet. Either way it's going to look bad ass so keep us posted with what you decide to do.

Here is a couple pics of mine.

I've got a '14 GMC 1500 with a 6" and 35s. Really considering upgrading to the new Duramax but will likely wait a while. I've had my truck 2 years and 30k miles and need to get more use out of it for the money I've got in it. Anyways, came to the 2500 forum to see what lift and tire setup people are running and saw your post. The HD sits higher stock and BDS has a a 6 or 6.5" kit that will 37x12.50x20; if they're 20x9 wheels then they won't rub and you won't need to trim. Other lifts out there that fit 35s. Zone, McG.

Your gmc is sick! Idk what I'm gonna do yet. Probably have to stick with the fabtech 6 inch lift, since my dealer uses lesschwab for the lift kits, and that's what they carry. I'd rather do a 7.5 inch so I can clear a larger size tire, and wider offset, but in order to keep my warranty I'm gonna have to do the fabtech 6.

Just do the 6 inch Fabtech lift and run some 35's with 20x12 -44 and make it work or you could always run 20x10 -24 offset and clear your 35's easy. I had a 2015 chevy crew cab and ran the Fabtech 4 inch kit with a 20x10 -24 and 33x12.50.20 Toyo R/T with no rubbing at all so I don't see why a 35 won't fit with 6 inches of lift.
