Interchangeable parts. Need help

Hey guys,

 

I just bought a parts truck because I needed winter wheels and it was pretty much the same price to buy this truck as to just buy used rims.

 

Living in a city with a small lot I will probably end up dismantling what I need on parts truck and junk the rest. I would like to know what would be interchangeable since they're not from same year and model

 

My good truck is a 2003 gmc sierra 1500 with 4.8L, lever 4x4, ext cab.

 

The parts truck is a 1999 chevy silverado 1500 with a 5.3, push button 4x4, regular cab.

 

Should I expect most parts to fit my sierra?

Except cluster (Instrument Panel) and radio, maybe even HVAC control panel.
