likeschevy Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 I have a 2016 Silverado LTZ 18 inch tires 3500 miles and the outside edge of both front tires are ragged and worn. Is this just an alignment issue ? it is 4 wheel drive. It is not just more wear but a weird ragged wear never seen anything like this before.

Take back to dealership - check alignment , maybe mad tires .
hirdlej Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Got pictures? It could also be from you taking corners too fast or the locking differential pushing forward while turning.
Dnt Posted October 23, 2016 Posted October 23, 2016 Sounds like the frequent burnouts are affecting your tires STOP letting the teenager drive your truck unsupervised man................. hahaha I actually noticed this unusual wear pattern on my 2016 Denali with 20's the door tag calls for 32psi front and rear but they look and wear (currently a bit over 8,000 miles) like they are underinflated so I am using 32psi in rear and 35 psi in front. It looks like they are wearing more even now but the factory rubber (GoodYear SRA's) are pretty poor excuses for quality tires anyway. I do not expect to get much over 30,000 miles on this factory set. For whatever reason the 18" and 20" tires regardless of brand do not not produce the great mileage of a 16" tire set.
likeschevy Posted October 23, 2016 Author Posted October 23, 2016 thanks for the replies it could have been under inflation I agree about the Goodyear tires next set will be something else not sure what tire to go with. no burnouts hahaha
silveradosid Posted October 25, 2016 Posted October 25, 2016 my 2014 chev chewed up its front tires in 20k kilometers, dearlership claimed i should have rotated tires more frequently looked at service advisor and said you service it why didnt you rotate the tires, got the blank look. any ways shifted fronts to back and a front end alignment and no problems since
