26" or 27" Antenna

I've searched but was unable to find a replacement antenna that's about 3-4 inches shorter than the stock 30"

I don't listen to FM or HD radio in any of my cars, I prefer SiriusXM, so I really don't need an stick antenna on the truck anyway. However, as with most people, I hate that it hits my garage door opening every time I go in and out.

I changed my Ram Laramie to a shorty antenna that was like 7" long, but to be honest, it looked a bit out of place.

What I desire is for the antenna to be about 1-2 inches higher than the shark fin antenna for the SiriusXM and GPS that's on the roof. This way it won't hit my garage opening, but the 26-27" antenna would still be about 2-3 inches higher than the shark fin antenna, giving me a heads up if the truck will clear a low hanging parking garage that may not have the height requirement bar in place at the entrance.

Any leads on a 26-27 inch high all black stick antenna would be appreciated.

Thanks

Almost all of the GM antenna's use the same thread mount. Just go to the lot and measure the different antenna's and order one the size you want.

I just put a Shorty on mine.

Check your local parts store / I found a short one there ( 4" ) . good luck

I know it's not what you are wanting, but I kind of like having my antenna stick up above my truck. Helps keep me aware of any low parking garages I might go in.

I know that's what I said in my post.

But the antenna only needs to be about 2 inches taller than the highest part of the truck/roof (the Shark fin Sirius/GPS antenna).

As it stands now, the radio antenna is about 6 inches taller. So I can put an antenna that's 26-27" tall on the truck (about 3-4 inches shorter) and still have it 2 inches taller than the shark fin, giving me the heads up of low parking garages. But the antenna won't hit unnecessarily on anything that I don't need it to hit on, like my garage.

Great idea. I'll give the GM parts department a call and see if one of their other stock antennas are 26-27" tall.

Stock height is 31" I believe.

Try this company, antenna mas rus.

They make all different kinds; material and lengths. I think you'll be most interested in the spring steel ones. They are supposed to be very high quality; better than OEM.

Let us know how it works out if you get one. Good luck. See link below.

Cut your stock antenna to the height you want and use one of those little rubber vacuum plugs on the top of it. I did that In one of my other cars.

I was considering doing just that, but wasn't sure how to cap it on the top that would still look ok.

What little rubber vacuum plug are you referring to?

Thanks man
