Just purchased my first truck, I owned Chevy Tahoe's up until this week when I traded it in on a new 2016 Silverado 2500 6.0 gas. I am looking at a cold air intake and exhaust system (true dual) as I had in my 2014 Tahoe. I have seen several posts about the 2015's and read several horror stories about a multitude of issue's. Mine is too new to have any. Less than 150 miles so far, I wanted to ask if anyone owned a similar truck and has done any upgrades? and also, toss this out to the crowd if I should wait to do any CAI, or exhaust work until I get a few thousand miles on it.

I drive my Tahoe's from the dealership to the muffler shop, but this is a lot more truck than the 5.3l Tahoe motor.

Intake wise I'd probably just do the airaid mit intake tube. I've not noticed anymore power made between it, and a cai. As far as waiting, that's up to you. I wouldn't think it would hurt anything.

Horror stories? You've been spending too much time in the wrong forum section LOL. You have an HD with a tried and tested engine. We do have an HD section here as well with a mods section too.

No real reason to add a CAI as the HD trucks already have a pretty nice intake system.

And as others have said, head over to the HD section of this forum.

My 2016 Silverado 2500HD blew the engine at 65000 miles costing $10000 to replace with new. Total junk these are
