Got a question for those that instilled led lights in 13+ 1500

Prior to trading in my 11 ram 1500 (same part #) i took my reverse light blubs out to put in my chevy well i did that and disappointed in my light output for 410 lumes of light (my ram was a lot brighter and had more usable light i am tempted to put my stock ones in but hate pulling the housing off again, plus my main concern is if i swap to all leds will i end up with the same result and my dealer can't figure it out why best answer he gave me was the housing.

I put led reverse lights in mine and i would say the view of your second photo is pretty similar. What are you looking for? It appears that the ground is lit up behind your truck in the rear view camera.

those reverse lights only throw out so much light. that's why so many people put extra fixtures on the rear end. I'm looking at options to add more light right now.

Ya ithey were a big improvement in my ram in the first pic you can see the dark lines in my side mirror may try my stock ones and see how bright they are

Also just found out its the nature of the beast according to diode dynamic. i have the LT housing. I wonder if the ltz will do the same thing?

I was happy with the light output of my ram. And really dont want to add extra lighting on the chevy

These trucks have diffused lenses, which break up the light pattern and makes it more dim. Halogen bulbs seem brighter due to the brightness of the bulb. LED's are more white, which seem to not light up as much with diffused lenses. I have the same problem.

Thank you I didn't know that one. It sucks though

So i guess if i go stock LTZ i will have the same problem? As bad as i hate to i will probably pull my housing and swap back. Where i backup i could use the light output (i was kinda depressed when I switched to from stock to the 410 lumnes)

Is the housing the same for the brake lights my ultimate goal is switch out to all leds
