BlackBear Tune - For Those That Have It ..

For those that have a Blackbear tune - do you guys revert back to stock tune before you take your truck to the dealer? I'm guessing I shouldn't worry about this unless I'm taking the truck in for warranty work to the drive line/trans or engine?

Only takes a few mins to swap it back. I do just in case.

I swapped mine back when I took it to do the airbag warranty. Like Sdfd504 said, only takes a couple minutes.

With many of my past cars that I tuned I used to keep the handheld tuner in a small box or zipper bag that you can't see through in the trunk or somewhere secure. This way, just in case you break down on the side of the road, as long as you have power to the car, you can flash it back to stock before the tow truck comes and takes you to the dealership too.

 

But as others have said, no reason to not flash it back to stock anytime you take your vehicle in for any service.

Yes and no it depended on the issue and whether or not they may need to reprogram the ecm

Unless it's a maintenance issue, I don't. I just recently took the truck in to get recalls done, and nothing was said.
