Truck alarm Issues.

Okay, so for the past while my truck alarm has been going crazy, I got the truck used at a dealership, it came with what looks like an aftermarket alarm and key fob, definitely not stock, the truck is a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500. The alarm randomly started blaring while I was driving down the highway, I could not figure it out and I got super angry sitting there, I shut the truck off. Disconnect the battery, connected it back up and it was still going off, tried the key fob and it wouldn't even lock or unlock the doors, putting the key in and locking and unlocking it manually also didn't work, so what I have done to get it to shut up is ripped the alarm horn out ( Literally ripped ) and unplugged from the roof the current alarm sensor, no sound from the horn ( Obviously ) But now I hear this stupid ticking coming from somewhere near or around the fuse box under the hood, and I am assuming it's coming from the alarm fuse where they connected it, maybe some relay that's telling it to go off, but it's not there. Does anyone know anything about the fuses or aftermarket alarm systems or a way that I can just get this ticking to stop. So far it won't stop, I have to disconnect the battery to keep it alive, otherwise the battery runs dry on me within 8 hours.... I can not afford a shop, that's why I'm here. Hopefully I have enough info, for the meantime until I find an answer disconnenecting the battery and manual lock and unlock work. Thanks for anyone's time writing a reply, Dustin.A

I would suggest locating what is making the sound, then figuring out how to remove/disable it.

Actually, first, I would figure out what alarm system was installed, who made it, and try to find installation and/or removal instructions online.

Find that ticking bomb.. ! It probably is wired in conjuction with wires that are factory, IE, tapped into them, dont cut any factory wires

Post a pic of the key fob. That'll help the guys point you in the right direction.
