Spare tire when having over sized tires? Keep stock spare tire?

I was wondering what people are doing for spare tires when you went up to a 33 or 35" tire.

 

 

I currently have 33x12.5 and still have the stock Z71 wheel and tire under the truck.

Iam in the same boat. I think we should be fine while in 2wd and short distances

I was thinking the same thing and thats if road side assistance can't fix the flat on the spot with a plug.

I was always wondering about this as well. I would probably try and keep my rears the same size (not sure if it really matters but it does in my head)

Anyone with the factory G80 diff. lock and oversized tires would do well to make sure to either replace their spare with a tire that's the same OAD as their other tires, or if you have a flat make sure that the 2 rear tires are the same size.

I had to grind off the excess off the hitch receiver that would hit the tire...other than that small grinding it went in pretty well. 35x12.5R17 BFG KO2

When I upgrade tires I'll put something close in diameter and maybe a hair thinner on the stock spare rim. Don't want to me left out in the back country with out a good meaty spare.
