2016 GMC Rear Seat Entertainment System (Headrest)

Trying to find information on the Rear seat entertainment system (headrest) that GMC offers.

- Who makes it?

- Manual

- Does anyone have this option installed and what are your thoughts?

I have a 16 Denali

Any info or a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

The in headrest system is always a dealer add on. We have it on my wifes 2016 SRX.... It leaves a lot to be desired. If I didn't get it for half price, I'd never do it. Just get a couple tablets for the kids and be done. The system is far to expensive for what it is.

They do offer it on the HD trucks. I'm looking at it as an add on. I have the opportunity to have it installed at a heavily discounted price.

Was thinking about the tablet, which I have. Was thinking more along the lines of something permanent. I have also asked the dealer for a manual of some sorts.

There is nothing permanent when it comes to electronics, you can buy nice mounts for the tablets on the headrest, they are way bigger than anything that fits in a headrest, this way you can change with the times and if you swap out the whole system for something real you don't have to worry about them not talking to each other. That's what it comes down to, compatability and mfgs are really good at protecting their brand.
