A decent tune cost $600?

I'm sure Justin won't miss your business. I'll gladly pay $600 for his attention to detail, exceptional customer service, autocal, and everything that comes with the autocal. I recieved three tunes on my autocal, factory ecm and tcm, 87-89 octane tune, and 91-93 octane tune. Also, the tune costs you $300 and the autocal another $300. Therefore, when I sell or trade this truck in on a new one in a couple years, my next tune only costs me $300 and it drops on the autocal I've already paid for.

I think I will be much happier buying a used canned handheld tuner. I doubt a "custom" tune is worth the extra $500

I've never used a commercial available tuner (and never heard a bad thing about them) but I thought a good custom tune at 2x $ a cheaper version from a "custom tuner" was a waste of money once.

 

burnt out transmission due to poor shift point programming proved me wrong. to each their own

You'll always get your moneys worth with a Black Bear tune. The Autocal is nice to have but not necessary. I strongly suggest getting it though so you can make tweaks
