Wheel and Tire Question/Help

Hi all. Just a quick question. I have a 2015 Silverado with a 2" Leveling kit. Im looking to buy wheels and tires for it. I want to go with a 275/70/R18 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro tire with the Fuel Beast 18x9 wheel. My question is with just a leveling kit what is the max offset wheel I can run without rubbing?Just curious if a +1 would rub or if I have to run a +12? Thank You!!

Yourr probably going to need more than a 2" level for STT Pro's, possibly actually lift with 70s. I have 275/60R20 duractracs and even with 2" level i had to trim my mudflap another guy pulled back his liner. STT Pro is an even bigger tire i believe than Duratrac.

To answer your question though your if you do just a level (2.5) you may need a negative offset.

Im guessing though. Im flush at +15 still had to trim

No lift is needed to run 275/70/18 KO2s, members on here have pics after install of no rubbing at full lock.

I'd personally say with a 2" leveling kit you'll definitely be fine with a 33" tire.

Our factory tires are +24 offset...so use this and an online calc to figure out. Or just call Fuel and they'll help when ordering the wheels.

27MM for factory 20" and 24MM for 18" factory.

Thanks for the heads up - He doesn't have STT Pros either, he's in the market for tires.

STT Pros just have a deeper tread than Duratracs (20mm I believe compared to 16mm).

275/70/18 is a 33.2" tire, just 1.1" taller than a 275/60/20 (which is a 33.0" tire).

If you aren't going any wider than 275, I think you'd be perfect with a +12 offset.

Yeah but STT Pro is what he wants to buy. Correct tread depth 20mm compared to mine at 16mm but here is exactly how close i was after the level. In reverse the tread pulled down on that corner of the mudflap BAD. I was clear on the liner but it was close as well

After i trimmed .. its still close but its clear no issues.

Not sure if this helps. But just put the KO2's 285 65 on Stock 18 rims with a 2' RC Level Kit.

NO rubbing at all. A bit rougher of a ride cuz of the 10ply but i love them!

I know OP asked about 18x9. FYI, I spent several weeks on this forum and went with 20x9 MotoMetal 970's +18 offset with Nitto Grappler G2 305/55-20's (the lighter LT version) after installing Bilstein 5100's at highest (1.85") adjustment to level front. I've run over 100 miles and tested full lock on both sides goingn forward and backward. I can positively tell you this configuration is unbeatable! No rub (I did tie back the inside of rear wheel liners to get about 3/4" more space at closest point). Ride with 40lbs is excellent. Tires are very quiet, no tire road noise in cab at any speed, very quiet with windows down.
