Need some help

About a month ago I got a check engine light and it came up as probably the evap canister in front of the tank. It had also been difficult to fill the tank with the gas pump constantly shutting off. I changed the canister and everything was good, but now I have faint smell of gas when I walk around the truck, which seems to be getting worse. Also the truck when it sits for a while will crank for a while before starting. I thought this was the starter not catching, but now I'm not sure if it's fuel related. Any help would be appreciated.

A couple possibilities;

 

Could be a leak in the fuel system somewhere, or a connection has come apart.

If your truck is an 07, you could have rusted out fuel lines.

Found the problem. Gas was leaking from the top of the tank from a rusted out sending unit.
