The physical shape and tabs all look identical from what i can see but was hoping someone who may have done this could tell for sure.

Like I stated they are a direct fit to Sierras. All you need is an adapter harness from a vendor or a forum member that makes them. New front end required for Silverado.

I really don't see how the NTSB still allows halogens to be used. I'm not a person that advocates .gov intrusion into things, but they really need to ban that shitty lighting platform if MFGers aren't going to even give an upgrade option.

Will the LED headlights from a 2017 high country SLT physically fit on a 2014 SLT without modification? I know wiring will need the adapter.

You said "High Country" and "SLT" in the same question. There is no High Country SLT. High Country is a Chevrolet Silverado and SLT is a trim level for a GMC Sierra.

 

The 2017 Chevy Silverado LED headlights will not fit in a 2014 Silverado. The 2017 GMC Sierra LED headlights will fit in a 2014-15 Sierra, but require a wiring adapter harness.

Sorry, it's definitely 2017 SLT to 2014 SLT. I will just need a harness to make them work. Thanks for the responses guys.

It's obvious to all of us that the OP is confused. It's easier to ask him if he's talking about an SLT or High Country vs just telling him it won't fit without replacing the whole front end.......

It's not halogen that's the problem on these trucks. There are some great halogen headlights out there. It's GM's terrible reflector design and low wattage that caused these trucks lights to be so bad.

I"ve been reading around and it seems a lot of trucks have had poor headlights in the past few years. I was searching 30K or less miles for 2015 trucks, but lighting issues on pretty much all of them have convinced me to quit looking for the best used deal and just concentrate on 2017 on.

I have a '17 LT with I believe factory HIDs. I think LEDs were on the LTZ and up trims. But does anyone know if I could swap LEDs into my HID headlights? Are the housings the same between HIDs and LEDs?

The housing is the same but the reflector is not and imo LED's suck with non-LED reflectors. I tried it on my Sierra and took them out after a couple of weeks.
