New to the group. Got a 2016 z71 silverado 1500 extracab a few months back. Put in a 3" front and 2" rear lift/level kit by motofab. Maxed out my upper ball joint and need to replace my upper a arms to get a good alignment. Any recomendations?

What wheels are you running? Backspacing plays a part in choosing uppers. Also do you have steel or aluminum factory arms?

Just start over with a kit like this. The price is right, concidering everything they give you including UAC'S, and rear shocks. Will work with factory wheels, check the wheel and tire chart at the bottom of the page. They make different kits for which factory a arms you have, you must know before ordering, steel, stamped steel, or aluminum.

Love my Cognito's. Bolt on ball joints makes it any easy replacement down the road. Well made and beefy. I think minimum BS is 5.75 or 5.5".

Did they solve the uptravel cycling issues of the UCA contacting the coil bucket?

I haven't noticed any contact on mine. I remember someone posting pics of an issue with Icon coilovers contacting Cognitos.

Yeah that's the pic I remember seeing. I don't have that damage on mine, which is surprising because I mounted the ball joints to the bottom side instead of from the top like the revised instructions say.

It could be the case that my cheap rancho quicklifts don't allow enough uptravel to make contact.
