work truck pricing 2500 vs 1500

I just noticed that a crew cab 6.5 bed 4x4 has a higher msrp for a 1500 than for a 2500 in the wt trim. I know it is all supply and demand, a 2500 is overkill for a lot of uses and gets worse gas mileage, etc., but that still just blows my mind. A 2500 is a heck of a lot more truck than a 1500.

Yes supply and demand, back in 2013 when I bought my Duramax denali it stickered for 64k and a 2014 yukon denali stickered for 67k.....

yea, but all the full size SUV's have a higher MSRP than the half ton trucks. I don't know who would pay that much for a "truck with no bed" lol.

My 2015 2500 6.6 with rebate was just under 50

I got a good deal on my 2016 Silverado 2500 a month ago and now I look at the prices at north Oregon dealers and see that the 2016 models are slashed to less than what I thought was great. I have no regrets because I went in to the local place with an offer I did not expect them to meet and they did.

Of course the sales listed on the internet come with footnotes attached but there are still some really amazing deals out there on last year's model and there are plenty of them around.

was before taxes but still was under 35 out the door. Had some smokin deals and gave me 10 for my 10 1500ls WT. I couldn't walk away from a deal like that.

With a trade makes more sense if that's what you're saying. Mine was $45k minus a $15k trade.
