5.3 to 6.2 intake swap

How did you tie your intake in? Just get a new one?

I had a Airaid MIT... but be sure to get a 6.2 (it's a 4" silicone coupler). or order a MIT for a 6.2L

If I were to do this it takes times to get the tune from black bear. Is it possible to just do the swap and wait a few days for the tune? Of does the tune have to be on it right when I do the swap ?

It might throw a CEL but it would probably be ok. Don't do any WOT runs though.

I reached over into the engine compartment.... I'm 7' 10 so it was fairly easy to do!

I'm going to order the intake f4om eBay. So any intake that says l86 is fine?

Damn why did I have to see this thread! For the guys that have done this did you notice the throttle response? Has anyone ported the 6.2 manifold? When I had my z06 the stock manifold as well as the fast I installed after both were kinda rough inside. Not fully smooth. Had steps. Ended up porting them and cleaning with a 500-1000 grit paper. Was very smooth in the end. Haven't seen one of these manifolds in person so not sure if these will need some cleaning up.

Time to spend some more money
