Well starting about a month ago when locking the truck the horn "beep" will not work. This is specifically when you park, and hit the lock button twice you normally hear a beep. That beep. Sometimes it does, sometimes it does not work. Even when I hit the lock button repeatedly. Figured it was the remote battery. Bought a new battery and put it in, no help. Then I was on the market for chrome LTZ fobs, bought two off Ebay and had the local dealer program them. Figured that might fix it. Nope, even with the new LTZ remotes it's acting the same. No beep sometimes. So i've tried different remotes, batteries etc. What could be causing something like this?

I had this issue once and found my kids were not shutting their door all the way. I was going to say to check the DIC Options for the horn feedback but if it's intermittent, that's probably not the issue.

horn works fine. wondering if the horn itself is going bad though, not being very responsive to the short electrical bursts.

I have had this same issue...my kids close the door and I would hit the lock button twice and no horn. So i walked around the truck open and closed all doors, hit the lock button twice more and it would beep at me. Next time when it doesn't beep at you, try going around and opening and closing all the doors again. In my crew cab, it is usually the back door on the drivers side, for some reason that door does not close very good.

I know the rear doors take some effort to close... I'm wondering if maybe a position switch is out of adjustment. Good places to start!

I have the same exact issue happening on my ‘14 Silverado LTZ. Did you ever figure out the issue; and if so, what was the fix? I’ve had it looked at the dealership and they had no idea. Just threw a new horn at it in hopes it would fix it. It didn’t work.

My 14 Sierra SLE seems to do this sometimes.... Hope it not a computer issue or something big on the horizon.

Will check doors next time

Any luck on determining what is causing this issue? My 2014 recently started doing the same thing. Thanks.

Still does it but has not created any sort of issue either.
