This may be a different topic than the usual but this is going to my fellow members who live in California. I want to order the California legacy plates for my silverado that is in Siren Red. Would the black with yellow lettering look good on my truck?

I'll post a picture of the license plate in question.

Funny this comes up...im actually about to order mine also. In my personal opinion I love the plates but......Only on black cars and some white could possibly see on red depending on styling That's why I waited till I bought a black truck.

Your red could look good but I believe it depends on what other modifications and personalizations you have done. Can we see a pic?

My buddy has a charcoal Camaro mostly blacked out, he put them on his car and well to say the least he ruined the styling on his car in my opinion

In contrast another buddy has them on his midnight 2500 and it looks on point!!!

I don't think the issue is the black it's the yellow. It gives a hard contrast on anything but white or black

Funny how I complain but all colors used to come with these ...Maybe we're more into the whole shoes match your watch deal then they used to be haha

Good luck

But for my 90$ first year and 40 yearly there after I'd want to be sure the plates "finished " the look on my vehicle

I am always amazed people will spend money on those plates. Our registration and inspection is about 100 bucks a year in texas by the time your done. Add another 100 a year for custom plates...no thanks.lol

Those would sure look good on a classic car or truck......... Or if you tow classics.......

If you like it go for it - but the general public could not care less about all these special plates - I get a kick out of deciphering them - and we certainly have had a few - but it's not for anything more than getting a plate you can remember.........

Washington state doesn't even emboss raise the letters anymore - so they look cheap too.........

I felt the same way until these were offered to me as a bday gift this year! They were a lot less expensive than other modifications! Op, your truck looks great! The legacy plates will make your truck look outstanding! You will be surprised how many more people will take notice of your truck!

Thanks lol. I'm proud of my truck, working my behind off to be able to buy it at such a young age. If my truck was black then no doubt in my mind I would order them. I'll have to print out a copy to see if it satisfies my picky eye.

If you had red pants, would you wear yellow and black socks? No, I'm thinking.

I don't think this will finish your look. And I'm seriously assuming no one on this forum really has red pants. I do have some yellow and black Batman socks though...

Very nice plate! I recently purchased BC parks plates! I like unique licence plates and I don't think it matters if the colors conflict with a vehicles' color scheme!

very cool plate!.. is that an albino bear?
