interested in this as well. can't do it under the back seat as the whole back is used for the dog since i bring him to work with me every day.

was talking to a friend about it before we got the truck and he said he would help me figure something out. (he used to be a professional audio installer)

I don't know what kind of video you would want. My S6 won't do much to show off the bass.

The sub and box are great quality and have worked well for 2 years. Highly recommended from an aging (34) former bass junkie

So it does sound pretty good for an 8? I'm used to 2 12's under the seat. Large box in my s10 was super loud. The underseat box for my old truck was only like .6cf per sub. Choked out big time and wasn't nearly as loud. I'm just curious how good it sounds. The YouTube vids about it don't really have any of it playing music.

Sometimes I wish it were louder, but i also know i need to replace stock speakers with a good set of components. Size wise, and cost make it sound great. From an audiophile standpoint, its decent.

I'd love to have 2-10's under the rear seat, but the kids seem to always be with me and I need the space.

Sounds like my situation too. The kids are always in there except for my work commute. Not sure how that would sound or if I should look into a shallow mount sub and different box.

I would be interested in it if I could retain a limited about of the under seat storage. I like keeping my gun and handheld Ham radio in there for emergency's. I wouldnt need much of that space. Its way more then I would use from the factory.

I keep my gun in the door pocket... easier to grab if the time should arise. I really don't use the storage under the seat itself for anything.

Be careful, the air bag control module is located under there.

I wondered about that too when I was browsing another thread on here. I may end up building a small enclosure/console that goes in front of the seat. The JL subs don't really need a lot of space to sound good anyways. I've always ran JL Audio in my vehicles, they've never let me down.

Came across these pics I think yesterday in my search of ideas. I really like this idea but for one 8, maybe two and might look into it. Maybe incorporate the center console piece from another truck with the additional USB and power connections.

looks pretty expensive lol. I dont know that I have the fiber glassing skills to finish something like that off. If you had a nice router table and a lot of time and patience you could probably build the box but finishing it out seems like it would be difficult.

Sundown came out with a 6.5" sa series sub. That's 3.8" deep. I think I'm going to try this with 1 maybe 2

Pics please! :) As soon as we get some decent weather for more than a day I'm gonna get out there and start taking measurements and drawing something up myself. I'm going with either one JL Audio 8W3, maybe 2 only cause I already have them. Might just go with one though, my wife doesn't really like the loud bump as much as I do.

Easy solution, just mail me the second one! lol.

LOL My son called dibs on it already if I don't use it.

They are on emfcaraudio.com. I haven't bought yet because I'm working with another guy to see what I can fit and look somewhat oem
