Is there a way to mount a light bar with out drilling for the mounts?

Don't do it! Too many issues with the light bar whistling and super noisy. Thought about mounting it behind the grille?

Behind the grill is a good spot. You don't see it at first glance but it's there when you need it.

I also agree with behind the grill. I did this and I feel like I get great light output, it's discrete, and is also harder for someone to steal.

Are you just looking to get more light output? Instead of doing the LED above the windshield, maybe get a two row LED bar for behind the grill? Or a larger one (if space permits?). Another option would be to get the LED fog light pods like I did to add some additional light. All those combined should light up the road in front of you like a Christmas tree

I spent forever looking for a way to get it on the roof without drilling holes or dealing with the windnoise from the door jams.....no dice. I now have one behind the grille

I have 4 led pods for my fog lights hids in my low beam projectors (going to switch to led) and planning on modding a 3inch pod for my high beams

Sounds like you can light more than a Christmas tree with that setup.

When I had my 01 Tahoe, I had a 52" on the roof just above the windshield and it lit up the hood like you wouldn't believe but it did throw some light. I just didn't like how it reflected off the hood and the whistle drove me nuts sometimes. I had to play with it and get at just the right angle for it to not be so bad. I eventually sold the truck and got my new one which I will not be putting a roof light on. Here's a pic from inside with the light on.

As an FYI you can't do an inside the grill install of a light bar without making big changes to your truck due to the automatic louvers installed just behind the grill on the 2017 trucks. Not sure if the W/T have them but I can say for sure my LT does.
