Donstar Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 I am about to order a canopy for my truck and debating whether to go with a cab high or mid rise. I don't think the difference in appearance is an issue for me but I think the extra 3 or 4 inches in height will give me more room to move around. I would appreciate comments from those who have faced a similar decision. Thanks!
KMGZ400 Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 If you don't care about appearance then go with the bigger one, i personally think they are a lot uglier and I don't see a reason to add more drag to the truck.

The mid rise doesn't appear to offer much more drag as there is a gentle slope behind the cab leading to a flat surface a little higher than the cab. I imagine the extra weight could be considered a negative. My main concern is that I have reduced mobility and the extra space may ease getting around in the back if necessary. Maybe you are visualizing a hi rise model which has a considerably less streamlined appearance.
Donstar Posted March 10, 2017 Author Posted March 10, 2017 Jason and Century both have a mid rise (Trek, High C) which give a similar profile to the cab high versions. Anyone using one of these?
