Towing Mirror Questions

My 2014 1500 LT currently has the small heated and power mirrors. Does anyone know if I upgrade to tow mirrors that also have the integrated turn signals will they be plug and play or do I get to fiddle with wiring? And by fiddle I mean just have turn signals that don't work.. lol

Your turn signals won't work with the mirror. Your adjustments will.

So no turn signals for me.. Guess it's time to trade her in on a new model! Lol

2014 will have the most challenge as GM didn't include the tow mirror circuits in the door hinge connector. There are 3 circuits for the lighting portion. Turn, Cargo, and Running lights. In almost every 2014 owner I've worked with, so far, all of them had lighting circuits missing. I think some had Turn signal present, but not the others.

All of the standard features work: heat and adjustments. But the extras don't, running lights, turn signals, and flood lamps.

 

That being said pgamboa sells a wiring harness that I plan on getting down the road that should solve those issues.

There are two parts to this issue. 1.) Yes - My harness will help make these work. 2.) With 2014 and some early 2015, there will be a need for the RZY Jumper Harness that will complete the circuits from the door connector - going inside the cabin and to their appropriate locations.

They're worth every penny. I love my signals, and Phil even showed my which wires for the puddle lamp diode mod.
