Hello I'm getting some aftermarket wheels and I need to buy some tpms sensors where is the cheapest place for new sensors for a 17 Silverado.. I called one place it was 200$

I have found GM sensors pretty cheap on ebay from GM distributors.

These are tricky though because they have a shelf life of about 7-8 years, so if you buy a set on ebay you don't know the manufacture date. GM changes the number every year so you know that they are recent and haven't been sitting in a box for 5 years. It's a gamble I guess. ebay ones are a lot cheaper for sure, you can even get Chinese reproduction for next to nothing.

Absolutely true.

 

I've ordered about 3 sets from Ebay sellers.

 

The first for my Corvette worked perfectly and have been in the car for 5 years, no problem.

 

Second set for my 2014 Silverado, 3 years no problem.

 

Third set for a friend's Corvette, 1 worked, 3 didn't.

 

Luck of the draw. Ebay=cheap but risky.

Ebay, some sellers actually post the manufacture date which is marked on the sensors.
