rear brakes

took my winter wheels off this weekend. did my usual brake check and all sliders a working free and easy, but my rear brakes are down to about 30 percent while the fronts are at 70 percent never had a truck that wore the rear brakes faster than the front anyone else find this when they checked their brakes

If your rears are going faster than the fronts then check to see if they are sticking then focus on the fronts not working correctly.

How much millage do you have on it.

50k miles just wondering hill start assist has something to do with this

  Ok well I guess Lake disagrees with me on a few points. I call oil consumption pretty basic. Rudimentary. He calls it "really complicated." I think 1qt consumed in 3k miles is a lot. He says that's normal. In 22 minutes, he'll use his natural talent to explain oil consumption to anyone watching this video. He covers everything from obvious engine damage to how normally functioning healthy engines consume oil by design. Lake explicitly states how you drive will impact oil consumption. Shut up and watch:

  Check for broken bolts holding the exhaust manifolds to the heads, common problem. Dorman makes a repair piece if you find you have broken 1s and don't want to do the surgery to replace them

  My dealer says it's the 6.6 from the HD modified for the 1500's. So, my money's on the 6.7.
